We were away last week – visiting Skip’s mom and sister in Ellijay, GA.  The drive down on Monday was soooo much easier and less stressful than our usual trek on Thanksgiving.  I was amazed how different the north Georgia mountains looked in the summer.  Trees are green and flowers are blooming.

We over-indulged on southern food–Bar-b-q, fried apple pies and breakfasts at the Cracker Barrel.  It was a nice, relaxing visit.  Nancy and Don taught us a fun card game called ‘Hand and Foot’ which we’ll definitely take along on our journey.
